Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, dating back to 1692. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and a sense of wellbeing. Our wines are produced in a state-of-the-art winery and are made to showcase the soils and climate where its grapes are grown. We have 88 hectares under vine and produce 13 different grape varieties with our highest vines – pinot noir and chardonnay – lying against Simonsberg at some 600 metres above sea level.
Our wines are best exemplified by the Babylonstoren logo, which consists of the pipe (representing the farmer), the flower (representing the garden) and the bird (representing nature). It is a combination of the very essence of Babylonstoren – keeping things simple and as true to the earth as possible. "It is this that we strive to achieve in our wine," says Charl Coetzee. "Truth to the area we are situated in on the slopes of Simonsberg, and simplicity by making elegant and balanced wines as natural as possible."
The Wiston Estate has been owned and managed by the Goring family since 1743. Its 6,000 acres straddle the chalky slopes of the South Downs and the flat clay soils of the Weald. Since arriving in Sussex from South Africa in 1972, Pip Goring's dream was to plant vines at her new home, Wiston Estate. The first vines of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier were planted in 2006. Her great passion is the backbone behind Wiston's award-winning English Sparkling Wines.
Winemaker Dermot Sugrue works together with the team and his unwavering commitment to purity and expressing terroir has led wine legend, Steven Spurrier, to describe him as “the best winemaker in England.” Wiston Estate Winery has won “Winery of the Year” at the WineGB Awards in 2018 and 2020.

Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family-owned, producing internationally recognised wines exclusively from its Hawke’s Bay vineyards.
Hawke’s Bay is a very special place for making wine. Its range of slopes, plains and climatic differences, coupled with low humidity and ample ultra-violet light, give winemakers a comprehensive toolkit to showcase their skills. Soils are young and derived from the gravels, silt and sands left behind as the three main rivers of Hawke’s Bay changed course over thousands of years. Every step in the production of their wines is undertaken by the winery itself, from grape growing and pruning through to winemaking and bottling. Over the last forty years Te Mata Estate has established an internationally-recognised array of red and white wines including Coleraine, Awatea, Bullnose Syrah, Elston Chardonnay, Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc and Zara Viognier.
Today, Te Mata Estate is recognized as one of New Zealand’s most prestigious wine producers, making nearly 40,000 cases a year of premium wine and exporting to over 42 countries.
The Seifried story began in 1973 when Austrian born Hermann Seifried and his New Zealand wife Agnes had a dream of making wines in New Zealand’s sunshine capital - Nelson. From very small and modest beginnings when Hermann and Agnes grafted the vines late into the night, to today when all three Seifried children have returned home to play their part in growing the family business. Seifried Estate is a company devoted to sustainable winegrowing and producing the very best Nelson has to offer.
Nelson is located at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. It is one of the country's top holiday destinations with three national parks, fabulous golden sand beaches, alpine lakes, and surrounded on three sides by mountains; its beauty is hard to beat. Combine this with over 2,400 hours of sunshine every year, the diverse coastlines and native bush, the colourful array of creative characters in the region, and this adds up to a beautiful place to call home.
The wine industry in Nelson is tiny by international standards, however Nelson’s success is often envied. Winemaker’s efforts with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have shown that the region is capable of producing some of the finest wines in the world, gaining international recognition.

Italy is one of the leaders for organic vine growing since its climate makes such growing schemes relatively easy in most vintages. Our aim is to make both a natural wine and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, taking fruit that is grown organically, then in the cellar adding nothing, while also not taking anything away.
