A treasure chest for those who delight in the unusual, we seek out wines made by individuals who cherish history, tradition and the unique character of their terroir. We are a husband and wife team who try to be serious when buying, but never too serious when selling. We hope you enjoy our wine selection and maybe even become a member of our very special Wine Club that enables us to bring these authentic, individual, beautiful wines into the UK. We look forward to meeting you in person in the Oxford Union Debating Chamber this September.
Our multi-award winning, English sparkling wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in just 6 hectares of breathtaking, sustainably nurtured, historic West Berkshire countryside. Each vineyard is carefully cultivated to unify the essence of its location and the character of the grape varieties, with the spirit of the growing season; coming together to produce unique expressions every year. Just 5 minutes outside of Newbury, Church Farm resides in an area of historic depth. It played a crucial role in the English Civil War and has stunning views over iron age forts, Coombe Gibbet, Highclere Castle and Beacon Hill (Watership Down) to name just a few. Visit us from April to October on one of our pre-scheduled vineyard tours & tastings or by appointment for private & corporate tours and cellar door sales. See our website for more details.
Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, dating back to 1692. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and a sense of wellbeing. Our wines are produced in a state-of-the-art winery and are made to showcase the soils and climate where its grapes are grown. We have 88 hectares under vine and produce 13 different grape varieties with our highest vines – pinot noir and chardonnay – lying against Simonsberg at some 600 metres above sea level.
Our wines are best exemplified by the Babylonstoren logo, which consists of the pipe (representing the farmer), the flower (representing the garden) and the bird (representing nature). It is a combination of the very essence of Babylonstoren – keeping things simple and as true to the earth as possible. "It is this that we strive to achieve in our wine," says Charl Coetzee. "Truth to the area we are situated in on the slopes of Simonsberg, and simplicity by making elegant and balanced wines as natural as possible."
Nestling in the renowned Gassac valley near Aniane, and under new ownership since 2016, contemporary Château Capion has already produced a range of reds, whites and rosés that are helping to forge an entirely new identity for Languedoc wine. Indeed, consultant oenologist Claude Gros has called Capion “extraordinary white wine terroir”, and our 2017 white bearing the estate’s name is a Decanter Platinum medal winner (98 points). On 55ha across three sites with diverse geological zones around the Terrasses du Larzac, we use the expertise of biodynamic specialists Claude and Lydia Bourguignon to manage soil health and practise sustainable viticulture. We also carry out manual harvesting and micro-parcel selection. Château Capion was certified organic in 2020.

Saddle Goose is a small craft wine company based in Kent, producing around 4000 bottles per year, made with minimal intervention. We're passionate about English grapes and wine production, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with English wine, whilst treading lightly on our environment. Finding inspiration from ancestral winemaking practices of old, we often blend that thinking with modern technology and winemaking. We also source the best possible quality local Kentish grapes to surprise people with what's possible from British wine! Our belief is that wine is a natural and constantly evolving product that reflects the vineyard where the grapes are grown, the UK climate, and the passion and craft of the winemaker. That's what makes each bottle so unique, as it paints a delicious picture of a time and place.

The Tiwari House winery is situated in the volcanic hills of Lake Balaton, Hungary. The old vines that grow around the winery take full advantage of the volcanic minerals in the basalt soils. The sun reflecting off the lake and the hills blocking the cold north and west winds create a unique climate that is humid, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. On any typical summer and early autumn day, the vineyards are shrouded by fog until mid-morning allowing for balanced ripening of the grapes which protects the delicate fruit flavours. The quality viticulture, combined with the winemaking passion and skills of Tiwari House, produces outstanding, award winning, sparkling wines that have established the perfect relationship with the rhythm of nature. All our wines are vintage, 100% natural, vegan and use grapes grown organically.
