With a floral and fruity aroma, and a fresh, light and lively taste, Prosecco DOC is the symbol of simple, refined drinking, and so much a part of the ‘Made in Italy’ lifestyle. The predominantly Glera vines that produce Prosecco are found exclusively in north-east Italy, in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, between the Dolomites and the Adriatic Sea. The climate, the soil and the winemaking tradition combine to create this unique wine.
Prosecco DOC Consortium are delighted to bring Italy to Oxford in association with The Oxford Wine Festival and following the success of our Prosecco DOC Masterclass in 2022, which had such a fantastic audience, as well as a great atmosphere we wanted to come back with an even larger presence this year!

Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, dating back to 1692. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and a sense of wellbeing. Our wines are produced in a state-of-the-art winery and are made to showcase the soils and climate where its grapes are grown. We have 88 hectares under vine and produce 13 different grape varieties with our highest vines – pinot noir and chardonnay – lying against Simonsberg at some 600 metres above sea level.
Our wines are best exemplified by the Babylonstoren logo, which consists of the pipe (representing the farmer), the flower (representing the garden) and the bird (representing nature). It is a combination of the very essence of Babylonstoren – keeping things simple and as true to the earth as possible. "It is this that we strive to achieve in our wine," says Charl Coetzee. "Truth to the area we are situated in on the slopes of Simonsberg, and simplicity by making elegant and balanced wines as natural as possible."

Nestling in the renowned Gassac valley near Aniane, and under new ownership since 2016, contemporary Château Capion has already produced a range of reds, whites and rosés that are helping to forge an entirely new identity for Languedoc wine. Indeed, consultant oenologist Claude Gros has called Capion “extraordinary white wine terroir”, and our 2017 white bearing the estate’s name is a Decanter Platinum medal winner (98 points). On 55ha across three sites with diverse geological zones around the Terrasses du Larzac, we use the expertise of biodynamic specialists Claude and Lydia Bourguignon to manage soil health and practise sustainable viticulture. We also carry out manual harvesting and micro-parcel selection. Château Capion was certified organic in 2020.

Daws Hill Vineyard is a small vineyard and winery set in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the village of Radnage, just off the M40 (J5). We are a boutique vineyard situated in the beautiful west corner of Berkshire between Hungerford and Newbury. Our vines were planted in 2013 on free draining loam over flint and chalk. The wine is made from the classic champagne varieties and undergoes the traditional method of making with two fermentations: one in oak barrel and second in the bottle.
We are two years ‘in transition’ to becoming an organic vineyard, hand-in-hand with embracing a biodynamic approach towards both the land and vines. This includes using regenerative growing methods, spraying no synthetic chemicals, nor tilling under the vine.
Winding Wood produces a brut, brut rosé and a demi-sec.
The Thames and Chilterns Vineyards Association (T&CVA) was formed in 1988 to further the interests of the vineyards, viticulturalists and winemakers in the area. Today the Thames and Chilterns Vineyards Association has members spread between commercial vineyard owners, viticulturalists, winemakers and others with a general interest in viticulture and oenology.
The Association has members residing in the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire,
Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Greater London. We
are members of WineGB, the National body for English and Welsh Wines who hold meetings and workshops throughout the year on topics associated with viticulture and oenology. Member vineyards regularly compete in regional, national and international wine competitions and we regularly have winners from our region in the Wine GB and Welsh Wine of the Year Competition.

Freedom of the Press is a micro winery in the Cotswolds producing top-quality still wines with grapes sourced from the best vineyard sites, primarily in Essex. Our emphasis is on sourcing high quality fruit, very gentle handling and pressing, maturation in a range of vessels and producing classic, balanced, elegant, and highly enjoyable wines. We use French oak barrels of a variety of ages from 1 - 5 years old, stoneware amphorae (more correctly pithos) - a concrete ‘egg’ and a bit of steel - ensuring we use the ideal vessels for the intended style.
JoJo’s is based high in the Chiltern Hills close to Henley on Thames, and boasts the perfect chalky south/south western facing slopes to grow exceptional grapes for wine. 9,000 vines were planted in 2019 and will produce up to 12,000 bottles of artisanal fine still and sparkling wines per year.
The first still wine, JoJo’s Bacchus – Seyval Blanc, was released in September 2022. The Bacchus blend is a vibrant and expressive white wine that is made from the finest Bacchus (74%) and Seyval Blanc (26%) grapes that were hand harvested in 2021. The vineyard was named after the dog, JoJo.

Winesnvines is a vibrant new company whose aim is to bring you a great selection of high quality wines produced by small wineries across Italy and the rest of the world. The way we see it is that you should have as much fun selecting a wine as you would have drinking it. The Bagel Bus is a family run street food company specialising in hot filled gourmet bagels. All our meat is locally sourced farm shop quality, each bagel is freshly toasted and made to order to ensure the highest quality of product for all of our customers. For the Oxford Wine Festival 2023, we will be serving a trio of hot filled bagels, including the ever-popular Lamb Bam Thank You Ma’am – Minted lamb patty on a bed of rocket, with a feta and yogurt dressing and a burst of fresh pomegranate; our vegetarian favourite, Halloumi Heaven – grilled squeaky cheese on a bed of fresh spinach and tomato with a drizzle of pesto mayo and finally our Chipotle BLT with Bacon Lettuce and Tomato and a Chipotle Mayo.
Founded in 2010, Go Brazil is the only UK company specialising exclusively in Brazilian wines. We’re delighted to be returning once again to the Oxford Wine Festival and look forward to catching up with our many friends from the show.

Nestled amongst the hills of the glorious Test Valley, in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, lies Black Chalk. We have been making top quality English Sparkling Wine since 2015 and in 2020 we built our new home - a state of the art Winery, Tasting room and Shop. Surrounding the winery in the rolling Hampshire Chalk lands are our 30 acres of stunning vineyards spanning three sites: Rivers, Levels and Hide, all are situated on shallow soils above solid chalk that provide a purity we believe is the foundation of our quality wines. We grow 34 different clone and rootstock combinations of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Précoce and Pinot Gris in our vineyards. These combinations provide an array of quality wine profiles and we treat as many as we can separately. From the resulting base wines we create a number of small batch Still and Sparkling wines.

The Market Cellar Door is a Wine Bar and Wine Shop in Oxford’s Covered Market which was set up set up as a joint project by Eynsham Cellars Wine Merchants and the Teardrop Bar.
We sell 250 wines by the bottle as well as 14 by the glass as well as tasting flights. We also encourage food to be purchased from other traders while sitting in, including from the fantastic Sartorelli’s pizza next door.

Solaris Wines is a young wine company continually looking to bring ‘different’ wines into the UK. Working with small producers we seek authenticity, points of difference and a clear quality/value relationship in the wines we select. Nestled amongst the rolling chalk hills of the Meon Valley in Hampshire, Exton Park’s 60 acre single-vineyard produces award-winning English sparkling wine. We are passionate about quality and provenance, and proud to be one of the few single estate producers in Britain. All of our grapes are grown and hand-selected by us and our wines are artfully blended, aged, and prepared by our winemaker in our estate winery. We’ve spent the past decade developing our signature Reserve Blend range to guarantee consistency of taste and quality every year. The range draws on our 10-year library of reserve wines that we have curated and stored in our winery since 2011.
We are In the Loop drinks, a very small winery in Uckfield, East Sussex that makes English Vermouth. We are the proud producers of the first range of 'All English' Vermouth that showcases English wine expertly blended with only English botanicals.
We work with the wineries around us for the base wine, which we then fortify and flavour in house. Most of the botanicals we use we grow ourselves or forage for, and we use them fresh, extracting a pure and vibrant flavour which we layer over some truly lovely base wines.

Grape Minds was formed by two friends Graeme Woodward and Michael Jelley in 2018 who share a love of wine and a love of retail and wanted to bring both great wine and a great independent retailer to Oxfordshire. Fast forward 5 years and they have two sites, Summertown and Wallingford, and have developed a reputation for sourcing superb wines from around the world, the vast majority imported directly from the winery ensuring the best quality possible at all price points. In addition, they are well known for hosting incredible private and public tasting events whilst also developing their wholesale offering, free nationwide delivery and much much more! Both owners have tasted every single wine and if they don't love them, they don't stock them...what a job! 2023 has seen them open Summertown Wine Bar, a 100+ cover wine bar in the heart of Summertown, on the Banbury Road.

Wine Chateau Ltd represents a specialised importer of Moldovan wines based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. As a family business, it is proud to share fine wines coming from the greatest and worldwide awarded wineries of the country such as Milestii Mici, Cricova, and Chateau Vartely. The wines are produced in PGI vineyards of Moldova. Our suppliers provide selected wines from selected grapes assuring quality in every bottle.

A family-owned estate, Podere Sant’Alberto is located north of Siena, between the fortified villages of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Castellina in Chianti. The estate covers 12 hectares of mixed woodland, olive groves and vineyards on sloping terrain of limestone and clay at an elevation of around 250 metres.
The Podere has 2.5 hectares of vines, all the work in the vineyard and cantina is carried out traditionally; by hand and organically. Our native old vine varietals produce naturally low yields which results in extremely vibrant and concentrated expressions.
